RACE: Thames Turbo Race 2 (sprint distance) on May 4th 2015

I’m a 40-49 age grouper who has decided to try and up his game for 2015 (I’m entered for a 70.3 Ironman in June this year). My first race for Optima Racing Team was at the Thames Turbo (sprint distance ) on May Day Bank Holiday. I was not expecting too much but just wanted to give my best.
I really enjoyed being part of the team racing that day – despite being somewhat slower than the rest there was great inclusive spirit and camaraderie.
In the end it turned out ok as I came 8th in my age group, but there is plenty of room for improvement!
