On April 19th 2015, Rory raced in his first Long distance (2k/80k/16k) triathlon in Cannes and came 12th in a stella field including Jan Frodeno and Sebastian Kienle. Read his race report.

I'm a 40-49 age grouper who has decided to try and up his game for 2015 (I'm entered for a 70.3 Ironman in June this year). My first race for Optima Racing Team was at the Thames Turbo (sprint distance ) on May Day Bank Holiday.

James was formerly in the Army and, as well as being a boxer, he developed a passion for triathlon; setting up his own club in 2000 in order to give his athletes the kind of personal coaching he believed would really make a difference.

Our race is held at Pools on the Park, Richmond. This year we are holding the event in the evening and racing will start at approximately* 18:15. The swim is held in the heated outdoor pool and the run is on Old Deer Park. The race is part of London Junior Series, however, it is the perfect event for those wishing to try a multi-sport event for the first time.
