Shepperton Open Water Swim Series
Swim success for Optima Racing Team: Ollie, Betsy and Leon
Thursday evening saw the team head over to Shepperton Open Water Lake for the latest race in the Open Water Swim Series, with a 6:30pm start.
The team took on the 1.5km swim, consisting of two laps of the 750m lake. Despite the chilly water, everyone put in a strong performance.
Ollie and Betsy came away with 1st male and 1st female, while Leon finished 2nd male close behind Ollie and was the only member of the team to brave the cold water without a wetsuit!
Special shoutout to Isabella as it was her first ever open water race, and she put in a strong swim.
A great evening of racing from the whole team, with some impressive performances across the field.
