A mixed Bag…

Leon Boulting, Tom Mythen and Betsy Griffiths racing in the BTF Super Series Triathlon Mallory Park

This weekend (27/06/26) most of the PE1 team went to Mallory Park racing circuit for the British super series heats and finals covering Saturday and Sunday. The races comprised of slightly shortened super sprint distance races for the Youth and Junior heats on Saturday determining their qualification for the finals on Sunday.

Tom and Leon raced in the Youth open races and Otis raced in the Junior open. Betsy had a slightly different format in the senior’s race with one race on the Sunday 3/4 length Olympic distance. We had a mixed bag of results with Tom and Leon cruising to the A finals on Saturday whilst Otis picked up an injury and had to pull out of Sunday finals after the race.

Tom finished 1st overall on Sunday making it his 3rd win of the season and qualifying for the European championships in September, Leon came 16th overall and 6th in youth A after leading with a strong swim. Betsy sadly picked up a puncture on the bike from T1 and had to pull out after the swim.
